Foxtel extends HBO deal

Foxtel shores up its deal with HBO as the premiere destination for drama, comedy and docos.

2014-03-09_1951Foxtel has extended its agreement with HBO which will see it remain the exclusive destination for HBO films, miniseries, seasons of series, comedy specials and documentaries.

Titles such as Game of Thrones, True Detective, Girls, The Leftovers, Looking and more will continue to premiere on Showcase and select titles will join the new BoxSets Channel.

We’re thrilled to extend our exclusive relationship even further to ensure we are able to deliver our customers the entertainment they love and expect from us across Foxtel and Foxtel Play.”

The strengthening comes ahead of possible future entries in the market by Netflix or even HBO Go itself.
