It was a morning of bubble-gum colours, tongues, rabid fans and Kochie doing something akin to his best dad twerking.
Miley Cyrus performed at a special Sunrise concert outside the Sydney Opera House this morning to 1000 lucky competition winners.
Dressed in an eclectic mix of pink leotard, green robe, faux fur neckline and fan-made bracelets, the child star-turned-singer performed songs including ‘Wrecking Ball’ and ‘We Can’t Stop.’
“No it really doesn’t bother me when people tell me I’m crazy because I am,” she told Koch and Armytage.
“The thing is my dad always told me the most important thing – and I grew up around people like Johnny Cash and Dolly Parton and those people are not normal.
She spoke about using her popularity to promote causes such as homelessness in Los Angeles through social media.
“I think you’re the real deal,” said Sam Armytage.
Exec Producer Michael Pell told TV Tonight, “I think this morning’s show may have surprised a few people. Not only did Miley Cyrus show what an incredible musical talent she is, she also proved she has an active social conscience. She is a fascinating interview. She really is.
“We love doing big, event-style TV at Sunrise. I’m proud to call this production team the best I’ve ever worked with.”
Cyrus, who closed the show with her latest dance move, the ‘Nay Nay,’ is currently touring Australia with her Bangerz tour.

Apart from David K looking like a bit of a drip, they do it well.Miley is Miley, nothing knew there, but when you flick over to Today…Sunrise makes it look old, worn out, cheap. Time to update yr set Today and lovely to see Sydney with it’s beautiful Opera House on show.
For a minute there I thought you meant another David K.
