Wow, Melissa George, Mary-Louise Parker and Brian Cox? I’ll give it a go 🙂 I loved the Australian version – it was absolutely brilliant. Although, this US version doesn’t have diversity of races/cultures, which is disappointing.

  2. Melissa was terrific in the Aus version so great that she has the opportunity to do the role again. She was built a good reputation for herself in the States with her stand out roles in The Good Wife and In Treatment.

The Slap was awesome and one of the few times when I thought a series/movie was actually better than the source material (the novel is brilliant though).

J Bar – fingers crossed they do a good job with it! The U.S. did good versions of Shameless, The Office, Wilfred, etc so let’s hope The Slap falls into that category rather the Kath and Kim one!
