The Wire cast to reunite

Cast members will reunite with creator David Simon for a panel at television festival in New York.

2014-10-07_1057Cast members of the acclaimed US drama The Wire will reunite with creator David Simon for a panel at television festival PaleyFest NY later this month.

Simon will be joined by stars Wendell Pierce, Sonja Sohn, Seth Gilliam and Jim True-Frost on October 16.

Lawrence Gilliard Jr, Michael K Williams, Jamie Hector, John Doman and executive producer Nina Kostroff Noble will also be in attendance as well.

But Dominic West, who played Jimmy McNulty, is expected to send in a video message.

The Wire originally aired from 2002 to 2008, and is regularly praised as one of the ten best-written television shows of all time.

  1. The Wire is an absolute classic and thoroughly deserves all the accolades and awards that it accumulated.

    Dominic West will presumably be in the UK and will Skype in or whatever but it’s a shame that they couldn’t get Idris Elba in the room with him, or Wood Harris or Lance Reddick at the festival.
