@Chuck128 – perhaps it’s because the Hobbit movies aren’t a patch on the LOTR trilogy. I loved the book as a kid but padding it out to 3 very long movies was a stupid idea. I couldn’t wait for the first two to finish and there weren’t any ads.
Surprisingly low figures for the Project, especially for the 6:30 part if it rated lower than B&B. Agree that TLR was one of the best episodes I’ve ever seen & I didn’t mind that it went until just after 9.
Watched The Living Room Christmas special and some tears flowed for that little boy who only wanted his Daddy back, who died.
Then tried that Bachelorette movie on Ten as well but it was a typical Yanky over the top comedy that we hate, so watched a recording of Inspector Frost instead ex: 72 recording.
Glad Ten is coming back in small steps for ratings. That will make 7 and 9 sit up and maybe not treat us viewers as guaranteed income, no matter what rubbish they put on or repeats in the case of 9. Just think if Ten was gone, what we would be exposed to then? BBT 24 hours per day with some rugby and cricket mixed in.
All I can say thank God for 3 commercial ch.’s instead of just 3 and the ABC and SBS. 🙂
Who watched the living room last night? That was so cool how they got all the presents the Audience asked for, one of the best eps
Yes I will try to embed a clip if it becomes available. The idea was done first in the US but still a crowd-pleaser.
A surprisingly poor showing from The Hobbit film, considering it was a premiere. The LOTR films do tend to run almost forever with ads in them though-perhaps it put folks off
It’s sad to continually see Better Homes and Gardens rate so much higher than The Living Room. Ten’s Christmas special last night was fantastic and deserved a lot more viewers.
Somehow I think the lead in of The Project is partly to blame. Maybe Ten should adjust its Friday edition next year to make it a bit looser. An all female panel on the couch perhaps? Did someone say The Circle?
Whoever has Antony Green. Oh wait, that’s ABC unless he’s been retrenched too.
How fortuitous for the ABC that the day PD James died they aired Death Comes to Pemberley.
Really!? Channel 7 has won 5 days to 1 this week so far. So 9 may scrape through mainly courtesy of a cricket match that was a dead rubber. Crazy stuff!
Then I’ll pick 9.
Well this is awkward. On the last day of the ratings year Nine and Seven are tied for the week on 28.9. It will go down to tonight, with an election in Victoria.
