ITV has announced a Live episode of long-running UK soap Coronation Street, to take place in September 2015 as part of the broadcaster’s 60th birthday.
“We’re delighted to be marking ITV’s 60th anniversary with a live episode from Coronation Street’s brilliant new studios and set,” said Executive Producer Kieran Roberts.
“We’re immensely proud of our new home and it’s been the most amazing first year of production. The cast, writers, and production team are exhilarated by the prospect of a live broadcast as the programme’s 50th anniversary episode was received so brilliantly by the audience.”
Other shows to have featured Live to air episodes include The Bill, Emmerdale, EastEnders, ER, 30 Rock, Will and Grace and Australia’s own Blue Heelers.
Coronation Street is now exclusive to UKTV channel.

Look forward to the Live Ep.
David not sure if the pic is your stock or supplied to you but that is the old studio’s Rovers Return. When they moved they added an extra window to the upstairs front of the pub. I think I got that info from this site.
It’s the same pic ITV used for the story in their Press Centre.
EastEnders will have a live week in February to celebrate their 30th anniversary and reveal who murdered Lucy Beale.
