I am still watching Home and Away however I wonder if the fact they are using actors that are much older than the characters they are playing has something to do with it. For example, the actor playing Leah’s son, VJ, is about 21 or 22 and VJ is only about 15 or 16. Also think the loss of Casey Braxton, one of the more popular characters may have something to do with the decline in viewers. I’m also not over keen on the crime – Braxton related – storylines. Much prefer to see the storylines featuring Alf, Roo, Maz, John, Jett. Also quite like Oscar and Evie even though the current storyline isn’t quite portraying them as typical twins.
Great numbers for Australian Story. Interesting to know Bob Hawke still resonates well with the televsion audience. Numbers for H&A are quite low for a Monday night although numbers across the board are down. Numbers for H&A have been dropping for quite a few weeks now and the show hasn’t cracked a million for a while. I don’t watch the show but I’m guessing it has a bit to do with the hour long eps 1 and 2 nights a week. If the numbers continue to fall I cant see Seven having the same level of commitment as Ten has with Neighbours.
Where was ‘Supernatural’-200th episode musical!!! Very funny.
The Ten Eyewitness News audience in Melbourne was up around 15K on last Monday. Maybe a sign of people checking out Candice and a new set.
TBBT Repeats – 977,000 & 1,046,000 and topping the demos. That’s why you hardly ever get new eps, Australia. You only have yourselves to blame.
@DansDans, not sure what ratings you are looking at at but HYBPA came atleast 3rd in its timeslot in tens target demo against weak competition.
that said it was a great episode, bit of a naughty dig at Camilla and Fergie had me in stitches.
So now we know why HYBPA is still on the schedule. Its good for the demos
Well done on this program!
Hi David
I noticed last night that Big Bang Theory EP2 went ten minutes over time / late in the Brisbane market, and the EPG was updated to reflect this, but only as Big Bang ended.
It may be obvious to some people – and sorry if this is repeated, but does this type of activity skew the ratings in favour of Big Brother, or in favour of Big Bang?
Overruns always affect Preliminary figures, but these are sorted out quickly thereafter, you just don’t see it reported really.
Looks like Highway Patrol took the viewers for Gold Coast Cops
Not a bad night for Nabbed.
