Renewed: Royal Pains

Royal Pains has snared not one but two more seasons from the USA Network.

2014-11-06_1338It’s never been a particularly big hitter in Australia, but US dramedy Royal Pains has been renewed.

The series, featuring Mark Feuerstein and Paulo Costanzo, has snared two more seasons from the USA Network, taking it through to Season 8, including its 100th episode.

USA has ordered eight episodes for each season.

Royal Pains remains a staple for fun summer TV viewing, and we are pleased to bring back the series for two additional seasons,” Chris McCumber, President USA Network, said in a statement. “We’re extremely proud of both the talent and creative team, who, season after season, have brought to life to these relatable and multifaceted stories, which continue to attract a loyal fan base.”

Royal Pains airs in Australia on Seven.

  1. It’s not that big a hitter in the US rating under 2m for S6.

And that is one season spread over 2 years to fill a hole in summer, avoiding creating a new replacement and generating syndication revenue for minimum cost.
