Yes but you have never acknowledged what a success this show has been in the so called important 6pm time slot.
3 channels or not. I think it’s worthy of more discussion and attention whether you agree with “roadblocking” or not
Apart from posting frivolous posts on the show not relating to ratings this show has been totally ignored, which is surprising considering it’s aired in such an important slot.
I have previously acknowledged the show has improved on the timeslot of its predecessors, so again to say I have “never acknowledged” is simply incorrect. I would be happy to add more context on its performance if and when TEN gets around to supplying a breakdown of numbers. Relentless simulcasting of shows across multichannels is not in the interests of viewers, nor the true purpose of multichannels providing alternative programming. I don’t mind that we disagree, but I do object to incorrect statements. Family Feud numbers are still available in daily rankings, thanks.
Who cares about the Family Feud 3 channel “roadblocking”.
First Contact did it and I didn’t see this site refusing to acknowledge that show.
Unlike the boring Hot Seat and Million Dollar Minute, Feud makes me laugh out loud without fail and as a former non fan of Grant Denyer, I’m now the opposite. He was made for this show.
Scruffy: Then you did not look hard enough on First Contact. Go back and look at the ratings and you will see separate figures for the simulcast on SBS ONE an NITV. Just as I do for Q & A on ABC and ABC News 24. But those shows do not merge the numbers into one single figure and therein lays the difference. The site has also not refused to acknowledge the show. I’ve written about it a number of times, including when advertising for FF was banned by the V8 Supercars and the recent story on TEN apologising for a sexist question. Thus there is balance. I also have my name on every post when I am writing online.
@maxxdude – 7 have been doing it for ages now as claiming “the biggest show game show at 5.30”
Watched Jamie’s Best Ever Xmas special RPT on 10 and enjoyed it and then Frost on 72 in slight delay after that from our digital recorder.
You know it is near XMas when you see MASH in the Multi-Channels ratings table LOL.
I don’t mind F/Feud on 3 channels as it gives Ten time during that half hour to do maintenance on some of the play-out servers and circuitry – quite smart move really and they are not stealing their own viewers during that time. So I am not that upset by that. Better than seeing lip synch problems during DWTS’s final on a recorded guest performance – that was bad and most likely due to lack of maintenance. Stations don’t run by themselves, even though recent owners would like to think so and that goes for all networks 🙁
In Brisbane we are getting Family Feud proclaiming it is Australia’s No 1 game show…
What spin from Ten considering it is simulcast on 3 channels but still gets beaten by Hot Seat.
Family Feud doing well beating Hot Seat in 3 states.
If Hot Seat was on 3 channels too, or $MDM, for that matter it would rate higher. Important to note playout details when comparing ratings.
Can’t believe The Molly Meldrum Story on MAX last night was not in STV top 20 – probably the best special on Molly I have ever seen – as it covered his whole life, not just Countdown.
Maybe people forgot it was on?
Well done to catalyst! In the science of ratings you have found the cure to boring Thursday nights.
Family Feud not doing too bad for Network Ten. Hope that tomorrow’s 100th episode will rate even higher.
