Time to go, Lawson…

"I know what I have done is bad, but I couldn't really help it," admits Big Brother's Lawson.

lawsonLawson, Big Brother’s very own ‘love rat’ (according to various media reports), has let the building, and with him the show’s biggest driver of storylines.

Receiving the least votes to save he was eliminated last night, ending an intense show-mance with fellow housemate, Cat.

On stage last night the 23 year old from Perth was scrutinised by host Sonia Kruger, largely on whether he had cheated on his girlfriend on the outside, Candice. There was no hiding for the evictee, telling Kruger he had done the wrong thing.

“I didn’t expect to have feelings for Cat, but they progressed, and I started having feelings for her. I knew it was wrong and I’ve struggled with it since, feeling like I’m a bad person,” he said.

“I know what I have done is bad, but I couldn’t really help it.”

Asked if he thought his relationship with Candice was now beyond repair he said, “100%. I think that relationship will probably be over. I have to give her (Candice) the chance to tell me how she feels and let her finish it.

“You never want to hurt someone, especially someone who you care about. I just never intended that to happen.

“I’m not a stupid person and I know what I have done is wrong. I know that on the outside, people are going to have negative opinions. I’m just going to have to stand up and cop those things on the chin and take responsibility.”

Yesterday Candice appeared to be the target of paparazzi shots published by News Corp.

“She deserves the chance to tell me how she feels and give her the opportunity to end things. And of course for me to apologise.

“I fell for someone in the House and I just followed my heart.”

Tonight the show evicts 2 more housemates, Aisha, Travis, Cat or Leo, in a double eviction.

  1. We see the percentages each week, but you would have to wonder how many actual people are voting. With the show only on 4 nights a week and no real online engagement, it is hard to imagine the numbers are very good at all. I mean with evictions Monday and Tuesday, and the phone lines only opening after Wednesday night nominations, that only leaves the Thursday night show to “motivate” viewers to vote.

  2. I actually liked him as a housemate. I hope after he’s finished with his interviews/appearances as part of contractual obligations that he is left alone by the media. Tonight im picking Leo and Aisha to leave.
