Esteemed television journo Dianne Butler has left News Corporation.
The Melbourne-based Butler, whose straight-talking style always makes her a great read, has exited the company after 17 years.
Mediaweek notes she started with News Corp on the Sunday Mail then moved across to The Courier-Mail. She launched Q Confidential with the late James McCullough and wrote a successful Saturday column for the Brisbane daily and a daily TV column and until recently wrote the daily TV reviews for Switched On.
She has also contributed to Nova Sydney and even worked for Nine (Today) and Seven (The Morning Show) at the same time.
The erudite Butler is known to be a favourite amongst a number of industry execs.

I loved her reviews, hope she gets a new gig soon!
Loved reading her in Switched On. I hope she pops up somewhere else.
Love her dry wit. Good luck Di.
