Crime drama Rizzoli & Isles has been renewed by TNT in the USA.
The procedural starring Angie Harmon and Sasha Alexander has been renewed for a sixth season of 18 episodes.
Deadline reports the show is the most watched ‘basic cable’ series of summer 2014 with 7.6 million viewers in Live + 7 days and joins fellow renewed TNT dramas Major Crimes and Falling Skies.
Based on characters created by best-selling crime novelist Tess Gerritsen the series airs in Australia on GEM.

Yay really enjoy this show hopefully GEM can get programming consistent for the viewers. My Angie Harmon girl crush continues.
It’s a pity GEM is so far behind on both R&I and Major Crimes.
The networks wonder why downloading is such a threat but then run series a year or two behind their US premiere. What possible reason would 9 have for delaying these series?
