2014-12-30_1617Neighbours begins its 30th Anniversary year next week when it returns to ELEVEN, although the celebrations won’t be seen until March.

As Gary begins another life on the run, Naomi dreads coming home to face Sheila. Her world is turned upside down when she discovers Sheila unconscious on the floor. Can Naomi get her to the hospital before it is too late?

Despite a disastrous meeting, Sonya tells Brennan she is still determined to help Erin get back on her feet. Worried for Sonya’s safety, Brennan takes it upon himself to approach Erin. Realising that she has no shelter and is becoming increasingly sick from her living conditions, he offers her a room in Number 30.

6:30pm Monday on ELEVEN.

  1. Why don’t they simulcast Neighbours on all three Channels permanently this year to re-build the audience that the show once had I think it’s a good idea they can still screen the project at 7pm

  2. I love my Neighbours – so pleased it’s back tonight.
Looking forward to the 30th season episodes in March.
As Ry said – the 30th anniversary week episodes should screen on both Ten & Eleven – excellent idea.
Looking forward to the doco – I hope it’s a decent one – two hours at least 🙂

  3. Thats a great picture of the actress who plays Naomi. She was a great addition to the cast in 2014 ( I havn’t yet looked into her back grround prior to neighbours, but I suspect she’s from NZ and guessing she has probably appearded in Shortland Street)

  4. Perhaps Ten should air Neighbours on ONE if they are reluctant to air it on Ten. At least this would give the audience a chance to see the show in HD.

It’s ridiculous that audiences overseas can watch Australian shows in HD while we are denied the privilege.

  5. Looking forward to it, I have only been watching for 20 years. I was one of the people who would turn their back on home grown soapies, I have changed, maybe mellowed a bit . Just in case I miss it, it gets recorded on 3 machines….just in case. Gets deleted afterwards, but there was one time when I had to view it on the 3rd machine. Can never be too careful when it comes to Neighbours….love the show.

  6. I am pleased It has lasted 30 years.Although I missed the first few years due to my age I sometimes watched when I could from 1988 onwards. It is a great escapism from the mostly news or old sitcom dominated time of night elsewhere.

  7. Congratulations and welcome back Neighbours. I still remember the early years when Neighhours first screened on Seven! And the rest is history when Ten rescued it! I’ve never missed an episode.

  8. I know Ten will screen the special anniversary documentary but I wonder whether they will give Neighbours the gift of a multi-channel broadcast?

I believe the 30th anniversary week episodes should be on Ten and Eleven. It would be a deserving gift for the hardworking cast and crew and it wouldn’t hurt The Project to do a week of 30 minute shows.

It gives Neighours a chance to double its ratings and entice new viewers?
