Defunct US music drama Smash is set to be ‘revived’, for one night only, with a live presentation of Bombshell, the Marilyn Monroe musical that comprised the show’s central plot.
A benefit concert of Bombshell songs penned by Craig Zadan and Neil Meron will be staged on Broadway on June 15th.
All 22 songs are expected to be staged with cast members from Smash, including Megan Hilty, and staging by Smash choreographer Joshua Bergasse.
Could this be a segue to a ‘spin-off live production…..?’

Fantastic news … I loved theses two seasons. Both musicals in the series should have been produced on stage anyway, they would be great to see!
@Bella – hope so too! Smash was fantastic.
Hope they’ll film this for a tv special or DVD/digital download. I loved Smash and all the music.
