Stan adds ABC titles
Summer Heights High, Upper Middle Bogan, Rake, Redfern Now, Miss Fisher & Janet King coming to Stan.

Stan has added more content to its upcoming SVOD launch with ABC Commercial supplying comedy, drama, factual and children’s programming in a multi-year deal.
Library titles will include Summer Heights High, Ja’mie Private School Girl, Upper Middle Bogan, It’s a Date, The Moodys, Rake, Redfern Now, Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries, Jack Irish and Janet King.
Factual titles will include Whitlam: The Power and the Passion, Wide Open Road and Gallipoli From Above while children’s programming will feature The Wiggles, Dorothy the Dinosaur, Guess How Much I Love You, Octonauts, Angelina Ballerina, Bob the Builder, Thomas and Friends, Fireman Sam, Sesame Street and Mister Maker.
Nick Forward, Stan’s Director of Content and Product, said: “We’re very proud to support Australian-made productions and offer Stan’s members a wide range of programming that can be viewed whenever and wherever they want. Our partnership with ABC Commercial shows a continued commitment to investing in Australian content.”
The deal with ABC Commercial will bring programs from a wide array of Australian production companies to Stan, including Australian Broadcasting Corporation, ACTF, The Australian Ballet, Blackfella Films, Essential Media & Entertainment, Every Cloud Productions, Goalpost Pictures, Gristmill, High Wire Films, Hoodlum, Jungle Boys, Matchbox Pictures and Screentime.
Robert Patterson, Director ABC Commercial, said: “ABC Commercial is pleased to partner with Stan at launch, offering a wide variety of Australian content to the new streaming service. The agreement creates new licensing revenues which can then be reinvested into the production of ABC content and programming.”
Titles will be available to watch instantly and, when available, in full HD on multiple platforms including television, tablets, computers and mobile phones.

Is this an exclusive deal with Stan, or can the ABC (hopefully) sign up with other SVoD providers too? Would be sad to see ABC content locked to only one provider.
