  1. Surely quality means more than just broadcasting. Quality is the total package. It’s just like saying that the wrapping on a product was fantastic but when you opened the package, the product was defective.
I guess the IOC need to look at the total service to the customer, maybe?

  2. It was widely accepted in the Australian public that nine had bad coverage in London. They received thousands of complaints if that was worth bronze the standard must be pretty low. Seven always does a great job at olympics .

    1. Frankly there were plenty of complaints for both, related to programming. Ironically Seven was criticised for not offering much HD. Nine was criticised for simulcasting in HD rather than alternative events. Both criticised for shifting from unfinished event to event. The IOC awards are looking at the broadcasting quality rather than domestic scheduling.

  3. Shoudy a little perspective would help.

TEN won Silver for a showreel.

Nine won Bronze for Best Olympic Programme in London, another four for Vancouver and Seven won Gold for Best Olympic Programme in Beijing.

Regardless of progamming frustration back home both are significantly better awards for actual Live coverage.

  4. Congratulations Network Ten for winning silver in its Sochi 2014 Coverage. The Nine Network was not good at broadcasting the London 2012 and Vancouver 2010.
