Voting has now opened in the annual TV Tonight Awards.
Once again, loyal reader, you’re invited to have your say in the eighth annual gongs for best and worst of the year. Previously these awards have even tipped potential contenders for Logies winners.
Best New Show of the Year? Favourite performers? Most Underrated? Most Overexposed? Biggest Blunder of the Year?
As always this is an extensive survey of around 10 mins to complete, but you have until Wednesday December 31 to cast your vote.
Categories are left blank so as not to influence your vote or exclude anybody, but here are some links for inspiration. Note that some do include 2013 titles so kindly adjust:
AACTA AWARDS 2015
LOGIE AWARDS 2014 Popular  Outstanding
ASTRA AWARDS 2014
EMMY AWARDS 2014
BAFTA AWARDS 2014
AWGIE AWARDS 2014

Remember to focus on first-run content -not repeats- and shows must have aired on Australian television (FTA / Pay) in 2014. Please follow category guidelines so as not to null your vote. ie. Light Entertainment doesn’t include Talk-driven formats or Morning TV.
Or vote at TV Tonight Awards 2014 here.
Results will be announced early in 2015.

I Wanna Marry Harry for worst show international.
Bringing Sexy Back for worst Australian show.
I was unable to cite SBS2’s If You Are the One in any category – which is a real shame! So I voted SBS2 in best multichannel.
For Your Consideration:
Best Light Entertainment: Have You Been Paying Attention?
Best Reality: MasterChef Australia
Favourite Female: Laurina Fleure, The Bachelor
Favourite Male & Most Underrated: Patrick Brammall

Done! If Eaten Alive doesn’t win Worst Show (International) I will eat my hat (or at least put it in my mouth).
