2014 ratings: the final word.

Now the Timeshifted numbers are in for the final week, OzTAM issues a final list of 2014 ratings champions.

haw1Ratings data provider OzTAM has now released its final results for 2014.

Normally when these lists are published (including here) in early December, they focus on the ratings season rather than a Calendar year, and they don’t include final Consolidated viewing. Now we are a week out from 2014, OzTAM has finally been able to draw a line in the sand and supplied some tables.

Admittedly there isn’t much change in the final tally, although it is interesting to note the top Timeshifted titles, including those for Subscription Television.

There is one qualification that should be made: State of Origin matches aired on GEM and not on Nine in Perth, which is why they do not appear in the ranking reports. Those numbers were:

Origin match 1 112,000
Origin match 2 124,000
Origin match 3 92,000

Here are the final numbers for 5 city metro viewing in 2014. As previously noted, the numbers do alter when Regional viewers are added.

  1. You would have to be a fairly useless advertising exec to get sucked in by the useless top 20. The networks are damaging themselves with this petty minded bs

  2. Thanks for posting this, David, but with the inclusion of post-match presentations and winner announced as separate “programs”, the Top 20 is pretty much a waste of space. I know you’re restricted with what you’re permitted to display and appreciate the extra data that you include for some programs in the daily wraps or in response to requests.1

  3. Wow. Quite misleading. State of Origin was definitely the most watched program of the year. In fact, I think Rugby League had 4 of the top 5 programs when regionals and multichannels are added.
