Airdate: Inside Number 9

On Monday BBC First begins a new comedy anthology Inside Number 9, a collection of darkly comic tales that peer behind the doors of six different homes.

Created by Steve Pemberton and Reece Shearsmith (The League of Gentlemen, Psychoville) with various casts in each episode including Helen McCrory, Gemma Arterton, Luke Pasqualino, Katherine Parkinson, Oona Chaplin, Anna Chancellor, Tamsin Grieg and Tim Key.

Pemberton and Shearsmith also appear.

Tales of the genuinely unexpected, Inside Number 9 invites you into six very different No. 9s, whether that be a mansion, an apartment, or even a closet – where the ordinary and mundane rub shoulders with the extraordinary and macabre. From a grand country house where an innocent game of sardines leads to some chilling revelations, to a blood-soaked actor’s dressing room in London’s West End, or the one-bedroom flat of an apparently happy primary school teacher – these unpredictable tales feature high comedy, unexpected twists and claustrophobic horror by turns.
