Episode One: Mind the Cracks
Andy (Nick Helm) is preparing to commit suicide when he is disturbed by a call from his sister, Sam (Daisy Haggard), begging for help with child care. Andy and his nephew, Errol (Elliot Speller-Gillott) are reluctantly thrown together for the day. Things are looking up when Andy meets Errol’s teacher, Melodie (Esther White). On chaperone duty, Andy takes Errol to play football with Tiffany (Jorja Rutherford), and hangs out with Bruce (Daniel Lawrence Taylor). Man Down
Monday, 12 January at 10.00pm
Dan (acclaimed stand-up comedian Greg Davies – The Inbetweeners) is a childish idiot trapped in an adult’s life. Crushing character flaws, an unwanted teaching job, uniquely dysfunctional friends and a wilfully insane Dad conspire to keep this Man Down.

Dan’s world is at near collapse, his girlfriend Naomi is fast running out of patience with his inability to navigate the simplest of life tasks. His best friends are Jo who has the loosest of grasp on reality and Brian, a straight-laced financial adviser who is regularly dumbfounded by the complete idiocy of his two friends.

To compound matters Dan’s listless teaching career sees him begrudgingly teach a version of the same lesson every day, inexplicably popular with all but one of the pupils, with his only highlight coming in the form of Miss Lipsey, a head mistress who views Dan with a mixture of pity and despair. Dan is also tormented daily by his father whose driving motivation in life seems to be to ensure his son is humiliated at every turn.

Episode One:
Dan’s lost his trousers and is in danger of losing his girlfriend. He hates his job, his dad is out to get him, his friends can’t help him and there’s a tailor on the warpath.
