Netflix premiered the new trailer for House of Cards during the Golden Globe Awards, which was well-timed given Spacey won an acting gong.
The new season begins streaming in the US on February 27th.
Netflix is rumoured to launch in Australia on March 31 at $9.99 per month and is expected to include House of Cards. That will be a challenge given fans will want to see it next month.
A spokesperson told TV Tonight, “We do not comment on rumour or speculation. Details of the local Australian launch have yet to be announced.”

I guess some people are going to be watching it anyway, via “other means”, and this is probably going to happen more often due to the changing landscape of tv and streaming. These service providers are going to snap up the rights to shows, and the only way to watch them, other than waiting for the inventible dvd/blu release is sign up to all of them, stan, presto, foxtel and netflix, will quickly become expensive to watch your fave shows.
@Swanny – That’s a real shame. Was looking forward to watching it too
Nope, it was confirmed a while ago that Netflix AU will have the rights to the new season of House of Cards.
I would of thought Foxtel still has the rights to this show. If that’s the case it should be on Box Sets
