Good news for TEN with CBS announcing renewals for Madam Secretary, Scorpion and NCIS: New Orleans.
NCIS: NOLA is the season’s most watched new series followed by Madam Secretary and Scorpion.
CBS Entertainment president Nina Tassler said, “These freshman dramas have each made a big impact on key nights of the week.
“Creatively distinctive, the series are backed by strong showrunners with amazingly talented casts and have resonated with a big, broad audience.”
Stalker and The McCarthys are still in contention for next season, while Battle Creek, The Odd Couple and CSI: Cyber are yet to debut.

@ stevie g – Fair question. It is a combination of 2 abbreviations rather than solely being an abbreviation of New Orleans. The LA is the US Postal Abbreviation for Louisiana, so New Orleans, Louisiana = NOLA
I’m still scratching my head over how NCIS : New Oreleans, gets abbreviated to NCIS: NOLA. Can someone enlighted me please?
I am a happy viewer!
Good news! All 3 are great shows. Here’s hoping CSI: Cyber & The Odd Couple perform well for TEN.
Good news that, well for Madam Secretary and Scorpion, NCIS can go. As usual though, our household has only watched the first episodes of both series (to see if they passed our stringent testing), they did, Flying colours as they say, watch the rest when we’ve got ’em all.
Madam Secretary is brilliant!
Scorpion has it’s moments, but I have no interest in the rest.
The McCarthy’s only go a partial back-order to fill a hole in CBS’s schedule. Stalker has been pulled off air. Battle Creek has a guaranteed 13 episode screening, but CBS have not put it on during sweeps to eliminate the the risk of damaging it their advertising rates.
Madam Secretary has been averaging between 1.3 and 1.7 with 18-49s on the back of a huge staggered lead-in from NFL games. A mid-season renewal is a surprise but its and in-house production, has a large over 50s audience and they have had massive problems launching new Sunday night dramas. They end up renewing The Good Wife with less so why not renew it and get some good publicity and stop negative publicity (elsewhere than the Reporter) seems to be the approach.
CSI Cyber and The Odd Couple have potential.
NCIS: NO and Scorpion have rated well and are obvious renewals.
Every thing not cancelled after…
Good news on the three so far as they are favs of mine. I really do hope that Stalker gets renewed too.
