Syfy to mark 10th anniversary of Battlestar Galactica

For the the first time Syfy will rerun the acclaimed series in its entirety,

2015-01-14_0956I don’t usually give much coverage for repeat screenings, but the Syfy channel is set to mark the 10th Anniversary of BattleStar Galactica,

It’s the first time the channel has rerun the reboot series in its entirety, and it begins with S1 E1 this Sunday, continuing through to the end of S4 each week.

In space, Drama still stands the test of time….

One of the most celebrated dramas on television, Battlestar Galactica is the classic adventure of a ragtag fleet of humans, the sole survivors of a devastating nuclear attack by the robot cylons. Faced
with an un-winnable battle against a deadly enemy, they are forced to flee under the protection of their one remaining warship, the outdated Battlestar Galactica. Pursued by the cylons-some of whom have now taken human form-Commander Adama and President Roslin lead these last remnants of humanity in search of a new home – a planet called Earth.

8:30pm Sunday on Syfy.

  1. Too bad Syfy only add a new series to their catalogue twice a year. I really don’t know how they have gone an entire year and only added three series (Continuum, Red Dwarf and now Battlestar Galactica) to their schedule. Especially given they are owned by NNBCUniversal-Comcast which has put a new series on Universal Channel every night of the week (granted they have had their FTA airings but they are still new to Universal). I really don’t know how they will go once Stan launches which will offer the entire Star Trek franchise which has been of high demand from Syfy viewers.

  2. Absolutely one of my favourite shows of all time. Brilliantly written and performed. Even mates who don’t like sci-fi love this show coz it’s well made drama…that just happens to take place in space.
