  1. @ Pertinax.

I was one of the people who watched The Flash, but not Arrow… & I’m in the 2nd group; Didn’t want to be spoiled on Arrow storylines.

Initially, we were going to watch it… But when there was no apparent clear link between the episodes (ie: the boomerang killer was barely mentioned on The Flash), then the decision to switch channels was much easier.

  2. TEN’S commentry team of the BBL has also been entertaining throughout the season, thoroughly enjoyed it & something NIne can learn from, looking forward to BBL05.

  3. We watched most of the BBL04 Cricket this year and really enjoyed it. Last night’s final was the best match of the series, great to see two evenly matched teams in the final. The team I usually go for is Sydney Thunder so I was going for Sydney Sixers to win however I think Perth Scorchers win at the end was great and it was good that the game lasted right to the end. Also great to see Channel 10 getting a win for the night.

  4. BBL is the gift that keeps on giving for Ten. It performs consistently well. The final over last night almost sent me into a cardiac arrest. Brett Lee’s final three ball potential hat-trick was so exciting, one of the best finishes to a match I have ever seen, really fairytale stuff.

  5. So the BBL final featured a Sydney team, but it had less Sydney viewers than Melbourne viewers? That’s either bad news for the Sixers or good news for Victorian cricket…

  6. bettestreep2008

Last night was a three way tie between the final of the BBL, the premiere of The Block and one really boring men’s tennis match on Seven.

Nine will be happier tonight with Ten screening the consistently poor rating AACTA awards and a men’s semi final – which if one sided should deliver Nine mega-ratings.

Mind you if Kyrgios had won on Tuesday – the mens semi-final tonight would have easily rated over 1.5 million.

Bet Seven is upset about that.
They would have had over 1.5 million viewers to peddle their crappy MKR promos at.

Seriously- there should be regulations about this sort of stuff. And Nine and Ten aren’t much better with their promos for The Block and IACGMOOH.

  7. Is the highest ever since city audience for a multichannel?

i know there have been higher rated programs on multichannels before, but single city audience? I am sure thats a record

  8. What a night for 10. They win the night, the primary channel beats 7’s primary with the Tennis and Neighbours finally makes the top 20 for multi channels

  9. Great result for Ten – congratulations for airing T20 BBL Cricket for Aussie families. Now next year show it in HD as well. You use HD cameras on the filed, so why show it in SD?

The younger Demo’s result proves how the young ones and families love T20-BBL. If you go to a match you will see the kids getting right into it. Cricket of the future for sure.

We watched the Tennis on 7 and recorded
    T20-BBL on 10 to watch later. 🙂

Nine will not get a Guernsey now in our house until The Block is bulldozed from our screens, that and Big Bang Theory endless repeats 🙁

  10. Watched the Big Bash final on TEN last night. Great match and a fitting end to a great series. TEN made great strides with their telecast this year, a big improvement on the previous year. The Block (which I refuse to watch) did great numbers considering the tennis and BBL final were on.

  11. Watched the BBL04 Final on ONE in WA. They beat 7 News Perth and The Block: Triple Threat in terms of ratings, demographics for Perth viewers. Also, the BBL04 final was better than BBL03 for Perth.

  12. Wow, has there ever been a multi-channel victory for a TV show driven by ratings in just one city?
