ASTRA Awards shift to The Star
ASTRA Awards move to The Star for the first time, to be held on Thursday March 12th.

The 2015 ASTRA Awards will be held at The Star, home to last week’s AACTA Awards, for the first time on Thursday March 12th.
“ASTRA is delighted to be partnering with The Star, which will be a superb venue to host the largest-ever ASTRA Awards,” ASTRA CEO Andrew Maiden said.
“The annual ASTRA Awards are well known for celebrating the quality, creativity and diversity of content on Australian subscription screens.
“The 2015 ASTRA Awards will mark subscription television’s 20th anniversary, bringing together many stars and leaders from the industry’s history.”
Finalists judged by independent panels comprising producers, directors, writers, actors, presenters, educators, funders, executives and screen agencies will be announced on Tuesday February 10,.
This year’s 18 categories have also ditched the viewer-voted popular categories as part of a push to remain peer-voted.
