Bachelor’s Tim & Anna intrude on Celebrity jungle

Bachelor couple face their fear of snakes before a surprise arrival at TEN's Celebrity camp.

2015-02-09_2113Former Bachelor Tim Robards and partner Anna Heinrich have joined TEN’s I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here!

They arrived in the jungle in last night’s episode as “intruders” joining nine remaining celebrities.

The duo replace Olympian Leisel Jones who was evicted on Sunday, but both have the advantage of not being there alone.

Before they entered the camp, they had to take part in their first Tucker Trial, placing their hands into a large, clear box filled with 30 snakes – including rat snakes, corn snakes, reticulated pythons and anacondas – to retrieve stars. It was a nerve-wracking moment as they manoeuvred around the reptiles without getting bitten.

But they succeeded in retrieving all 11 stars, resulting in full meals for their cast mates.

TEN’s series launched strongly last week but against tougher competition has its work cut out and with the expense of the series cannot afford to drop any lower. That’s possibly the toughest trial of all.

  1. I admit, I didn’t expect these two to be the intruders, but they seem to create an interesting dynamic in the group.

We all say that the group doesn’t live up to celebrity standards, but in all honesty, how many top Australian celebrities would want to go on this type of show anyway? There’s a good line up of familiar faces, and some not so familiar ones.

  2. @BarrieT Agreed somewhat, not really celebrities, then again look at some of the others, a former AFL player & former Miss Universe etc. The only one that is really a celebrity of any substance is Maureen, & at least Joel is currently a working entertainer, its not based on past achievements.

But yeah the Bachelor couple, ugh! i didn’t watch the show either so have no interest in them. Also i think i remember Ten saying on the promos ‘one of Australias most famous couples’ ? If i remember that correctly, its a slight exaggeration & made for a big let down! My guess was Lisa Curry & Grant Kenny, till i found out they’re divorced lol, some people on facebook were suggesting Bert & Pattie Newton & the funny part is i think they were serious!

  3. They are not a celebrity couple they are former reality contestants. For people like me who never watched The Bachelor they are unknown. What annoys me about this show is how badly they are dealing with the time zones. I’m in WA and everyday at 5pm channel 10 tweets or FB posts of spoilers for the episode that hasn’t even aired yet in all states . If they want all states to get involved by voting on social media I wish they’d delay the results that they post

  4. When will Ch.10 learn that they need to start their reality shows at 7pm? It’s what all the feedback seems to say year after year, but they just don’t listen…

    1. I disagree. If they leave the project at 7pm they have a show that can fill that timeslot all year round. Not all their reality offerings can fill that timeslot. I would prefer 10 and all networks quite frankly to limit their reality offerings to 1hour a night so that drama can fill that 8.30pm timeslot.

      1. Tim and Anna are very ho hum as intruders. They needed someone who would create conflict. I am all for a 7pm start time. Big Brother and Masterchef were originally screened at 7pm and did very well for Ten. Dramas need to start at 8:30pm, no later. 11pm is too late on school nights for us working class folk.
