  1. Maev....Sydney

I was not happy with the Celebrity thing repeat on TEN…I left it on….but it did not grab me at all…and I think it was also listed for another run on Eleven on Saturday night..
And yes…The Project always low on Friday….
    just checked back…Monday 657,000….Tuesday 569,000….

  2. I feel encores and repeating shows tend to put me off a show. Programmers need to ensure they dont over-saturate viewers. MKR for example will be repeated 3-4 times. I mean honestly is that necessary. If you hook me on the show l am going to watch it.

  3. I actually thought the recap show of celebrity was a great idea. It might get some people hooked who had missed during the week like me. I missed a few nights and really enjoyed the multiple celebrity tests in the one show. Every show should be like that. Now slow spots unlike the nightly shows. Made me want to watch more next week.

And it’s not official ratings yet so was worth doing in my book.

  4. @Randwick well there you go, with internet streaming you can watch repeats of reality shows whenever you want. It makes you wonder what on earth is going through programmers heads in showing encores in prime time let alone anytime of the day on their main channel.

  5. The Project have always rated less on a Friday in the overalls. But ok in the demos. Regarding Walleed. He has done better than I expected. Asking the tough questions. And no stupid shouting. Keep it up buddy.

  6. bettestreep2008

I can’t understand why Seven and Ten thought repeating MKR and IACGMOOH on a Friday night was a good idea.

Who’d wanna watch repeats of these shows when there are repeats of The Big Bang Theory and Crocodile Dundee 2 on?

I think Crocodile Dundee DVD is on sale at K-Mart for $5 – but you won’t get all the ads and promos for The Block and House of Hancock.

  7. Watched American Idol – excellent show with terrific talent. We look forward to this each week on ELEVEN. Recorded late movie on SBS30 at 11pm.

  8. Seven has successfully repeated reality shows (thinking House Rules in particular) in the early stages to build audience. Good on Ten for trying this approach. @Secret Squirrel, I[m a Celebrity is known for B through D grade celebrities – that’s the point.

  9. Secret Squirrel

I see that the attempts by Seven and Ten to wring as much out of their respective non-reality offerings failed to “resonate with viewers” (or however they’re going to spin stupid decisions this year).

NCIS: LA was never going to climb out of the hole left by I’m Not A Celeb. At least Seven tried to connect its BH&G audience with programming of a similar genre even tho’ it skews older than MKR.

It was a non-TV night for me altho’ I would’ve watched Cloverfield if I hadn’t already seen it twice.

  10. I know why the Project’s ratings have hit deep lows. Constant nonsense about Tony Abbott and Bill Shorten, supposed jokes and ‘funny’ segments that are just plain stupid and annoying, and the inability to focus on the real issues that matter.

  11. That’s really poor form from the networks to repeat reality shows prime time. Stick them on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon from 1pm. Friday and Saturday Nights are for movies and sport which actually rate something unlike then these crappy encores.

  12. The Project – still in the top 20 at least…..

    Shoudy Chen February 7, 2015 at 10:49 am –

My goodness. The Project is hitting a low of 429k. This is gonna hurt this show a lot.

  13. Disappointed to see that Ten threw away a large chunk of the night repeating Im a Celebrity. Encores don’t belong in primetime on the primary channel.

To be fair Seven did the same, but they are in a much stronger ratings position and started at 8.30pm.
