New presenters as Channel [V] rebrands

Bert McCracken, Bambi Northwood-Blyth and DJ Generik join a new-look Channel [V].

FXTL_ChannelV_GROUP_marketing_GenerikBertBambi_HResChannel [V] has unveiled a red-branded revamp today, with three new presenters joining its current team.

The Used frontman Bert McCracken, model Bambi Northwood-Blyth and DJ Generik (Tyson O’Brien) join Danny Clayton, Carissa Walford and Marty Smiley.

Focussing on “music and all things addictive” [V] promises “AAA access to the artists the audience love with exclusive interviews, music news and unparalleled festival coverage.”

There will also be new ‘music lifestyle’ content and its range of Live shows.

Rebecca Batties, Foxtel General Manager for Music and Head of Digital said, “At Channel [V] we are still very much about the music, however with this new direction we are tuning in to the needs of our youth audience and expanding programming to reflect and embrace their lives. The new Channel [V] takes our audience into a world of limitless options as we throw ourselves into the big passions that make youth tick, inspiring them to live a life to remember.

“In the coming months we are rolling out content the audience have told us they love. We are calling it ‘music lifestyle’. Both on-air and online, it covers everything from travel to fashion to different music genres. So stay tuned. The new talent join Danny, Carissa and Marty to each reflect the interests, ambitions and energy of our youth audience – which is music and so much more.”

  1. This could be both risky and good for publicity. Bert is – how shall I put this – likeable one moment and hateable the next. I’m sure he’ll have fun with a co-presenter named Bambi.
