Pay TV racing channel TVN will close on March 15, announced just days after its chief executive Bruce Mann resigned.
Fairfax reports the board signed off on a separation agreement on Wednesday after NSW and Victorian shareholders decided to pursue different media strategies.
Racing NSW and the Australian Turf Club have already signed a heads of agreement with Sky Racing for the next 10 years with an option in their favour for another 10 years. A long-form agreement will be completed next week.
Victorian racing is still trying to secure a vision deal.
[TVN] shareholders will continue to discuss which partner will acquire print elements of the business Best Bets and Winning Post in the next couple of weeks, the newspaper reports.

I think I will punt less. Was actually a fan of TVN. But sky has the whip around coverage (which I don’t like ). Might just have to bet on the main meetings, which are covered well by Channel 7.
Don’t think this comes as a surprise. Sky and TVN were always at loggerheads over racing in NSW and Victoria. Looks like the T-Box loses another streaming channel too
