Victorian travel series returns for its 17th season on Nine.

While airing on Nine in Victoria, the series can also be seen also seen nationally on GEM on Saturdays at 12.40pm.

This year there will be specials on “Style” and “Baking” – along with the Postcards team’s annual fun trip to the snowfields of Victoria.

To launch the first episode of the year the team head down the Mornington Peninsula to the seaside town of Sorrento.

Shane Crawford opens the show on a foodie tour of the area where he visits the Hotel Sorrento, the oldest commercial hotel in town, and enjoys views of sparkling waters over Port Phillip Bay from the outdoor terrace. Shane also visits the region’s most famous Italian restaurant, Acquolina, known for its Northern Italian-inspired recipes.

Brodie Harper experiences a more cultural side of Sorrento, learning about the history of the area at the Sorrento Museum before stopping in at Gallery Sorrento for local art and handmade jewellery. She ends her day at Marlo Spa where she indulges in traditional beauty treatments designed to relax, rejuvenate and relieve the body.

Glen Moriarty opts for a great way to explore the Mornington Peninsula coastline aboard a yacht with Sorrento Sailing Escape, followed by a seaside lunch at Morgan’s Beach Shack.

Meanwhile Rebecca Judd shops up a storm at Saltwater, a must for locals and tourists alike, before heading to Emia Fashion Boutiques, a gorgeous store which stocks Australian designs. She then picks up something for the kids at the Lemonade Factory and retires for the afternoon at Cakes and Ale, one of the newest eateries on the Ocean Beach Road.

Lastly, Lauren Phillips shows off some of Sorrento’s best-kept secrets including All Smiles Café, the Mubble Gourmet Ice Creamery and Manyung Gallery, which houses original Australian artworks by a range of emerging and contemporary artists.
