With revivals for Heroes and Twin Peaks and even X File rumours, could the original Law and Order be next?
Deadline reports that while there is no active development at the moment, NBC has been exploring the possibility of re-assembling the cast from the early years including Noth and Sam Waterston for 10 new episodes.
Law & Order’s previous 20 seasons hasd tied with Gunsmoke for the longest-running primetime US drama. A limited run could push it to, breaking the tie.
Producer Dick Wolf recently saw several more dramas officially renewed, Law and Order: SVU, Chicago Fire, and its spinoff Chicago PD with Chicago Med in development.

Meh Chicago PD is a much better show nowadays than L&O. Much more contemporary and with better acting/action scenes
I do love Alana De La Gaza though, if they pick her up when Forever is axed then I might tune in
It would be great to have L&O back, even if it is a short run.
Dick Wolf could have a 5 way crossover storyline. It starts in Chicago Fire, goes to Chicago Med,then to Chicago P.D,then off to New York for SVU and L&O.
Seriously Chicago Med? How many more spinoffs do you need.
They’re getting a little long in the tooth for active police work-one of the advantages of the format was/is that the cast could change over time.
