  1. Had visitors previous night but recorded and watched MKR and IAACelebrity and watched them later that night.
Last night watched MKR live on 7 and Recorded IAACelebrity and watched that later. Last night IAACelebrity was the best yet.

MKR is so much better this year. Still just home cooking but fun characters amongst the usual over the top ego trippers. Seven has done a good job with that just like Ten did with Masterchef last year which is about another level of cooking skills of course. We enjoy both. Watched IAACelebrity last night and it was the best yet. Then sampled Googlebox alco delayed via our DVR. I see this aimed at younger people who want to laugh at the people commenting on TV programmes. Will be interesting where that goes in the future.

  2. Looks like MKR will continue to rate between 1.5 and 1.7m until the finale where it will easily rate over 2.5m.

IACGMOOH will rate between 500 -600K until the finale where it will probably rate about 1m.

IACGMOOH’s winning some demos but their biggest problems are Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth. The ratings in Melbourne and Sydney are roughly half what the mega popular MKR are getting.

I’m still enjoying it – but they really need to tighten it to 60 minutes. 90 – 115 minutes is way too much and turns viewers away.

As for Goggle Box – I actually watched it and had a giggle or two – but it started around 9.15pm and despite some scenes it is really a ‘family’ show and should be aired earlier. And the fact that people had already seen it on Lifestyle the day before doesn’t help.

  3. Hiding is so ill-conceived it’s beyond me how it has proceeded from script development. It’s as if no research into actual witness protection has taken place at all. Apart from the miscast family – they stand out everywhere they go, they live in a very conspicuous house, and the poorly educated Dad is supposed to wing it as a professor of criminal psychology at a tertiary institution! Breathtaking incompetence at the ABC.

  4. Agree, Hiding hasn’t lived up to the hype.
Doesn’t help that I can’t stand the actress playing the mother, (who also looks far too young for the part). She is very unlikeable.
James Stewart is also very weak here. Liked him in Rafters but he is terrible in this part.

  5. Secret Squïrrel

I didn’t give ‘Hiding’ a second chance because I didn’t even make it all the way thru the first ep. It has many faults but a distinct lack of credibility is the killer.

There was nothing of interest to me after news and current affairs. I watched Lee Sales give Chris Bowen a bit of a caning and then caught up with some shows online.

  6. I also gave ‘Hiding’ a second chance but will not be back next week. For me it is mainly the unbelievable story lines, the husband undercover as a uni professor???? The family having no money to buy food??? The mum hiding next the principals car when she did a runner ???? etc. etc. Pity it had potential.

  7. I too gave Hiding a 2nd chance. Sorry, but I won’t be back. Hasn’t drawn me in at all. Can’t believe those making it failed to see it lacked drama.

  8. I gave ‘Hiding’ a 2nd chance… and regretted it. To put it bluntly, the show is predominntly miscast and the writing is all over the place. You warned us David.
