  1. Agree with Kushaa, that The big bag theory is one of the few shows to keep 9 afloat, but how people can still watch the same repeats over and over again night after night is way beyond me, they must know every line that is coming, but I suppose that’s what people want, I personally would hate to be in a rut and have no variation in watching television.

    • Could not agree more with your comment. They (viewers with metering for Oztam ) could spoil FTA TV forever if the other stations copy Nine’s example of endless repeats. They did the same with 2.5 Men and possibly the same people rewarded Nine for that. Very sad to me 🙂

  2. Shame that My Bitchen Rules rates so well. But what do you expect whnen Seven started advertising it in October last year and then every 5 minutes during the tennis.

I don’t watch it but I know all the contestants thanks to the promos during the tennis.

I propose Ten quickly recruits the eliminated contestants and send them to the jungle ASAP. None of the celebs would know who they are -but 1.7 million of brainwashed Australians would.

    • If all it took to get a successful show was blanket advertising Gallipoli and IACGMOH would both be runaway hits. MKR is not everyone’s cup of tea but Seven knows its audience and holds them well. No channel comes close to Seven when it comes to casting reality shows.

IACGMOH will not improve from here. If people haven’t watched by now, they ain’t likely to start. I’m not surprised that it hasn’t done too well. For a start TEN doesn’t do truly big ratings and hasn’t for years. In addition it would’ve helped if a show with Celebrity in the title actually had a few.

    • We watch it because we like it, especially this year. Light entertainment cooking show and they have vastly reduced the bickering and nastiness imho. 🙂

  3. I must admit to becoming a bit confused on How To Commit Murder last night with all the flash forwards and back again but I will stick with it cause I am enjoying it…its just a bit different to everything else.

    • Stick with it…it is great fun. It’s a pity Seven chose to delay its launch rather than fast-track. I’ve seen all of Series One to date and up until the Christmas break it is amazing. Unfortunately the mini-climax at Christmas resolved some of the storylines and the second half of Series One isn’t quite as compelling.

  4. MKR gets bagged mercilessly on this forum, but you can’t deny that the format rates its pants off for Seven – again this year, they have done a great job casting the various couples.

    • I too feel that MKR gets bagged a lot compared to (thinking out loud here – repeated TBBT episodes) . I think there are less bitching in MKR this year..maybe a couple of arrogant or deluded people. Some of the scorings from the so called villains have been relatively fair.

  5. Not a bad night for I’m a Celebrity despite a simulcast with One. Imagine if that show simulcasted on 11, then it would attract higher numbers like 680k.

    • We don’t need to imagine it, we’ve seen it before. Imagine if every show simulcast, where would its numbers be then? Even better, imagine if they gave us multichannels so that we had alternative viewing options. Oh that’s right, they did!

      • David they use to give us a choice of viewing. Yes days they are encores and repeats Ohh l forgot Danoz infommercials. I remember Ten execs years ago saying One and Eleven would be stand alone channels. Eleven must have repeat the likes of Jag, Charged, Cheers, Frazier, Happy Days, Becker, etc 50 plus times since it came to air. Are there no other shows they can Air?

  6. We watched Who Do You Think You Are (SBS1) and NCIS/NCIS:LA which are nowhere to be seen in the top 20. We avoid MKR, The Block and Big Brother Surviving In The Jungle as much as possible. Caught a glimpse of Merv Hughes with his shirt off last night that was more than enough!

    • I’m with you. I love “Who Do You Think You Are” and last night’s was wonderful.
I love “NCIS” but don’t watch the other spin offs.
      I don’t like reality tv!

David, can you tell me what “NCIS” rated last night? Thanks 🙂

  7. If I had to choose between MKR and repeated episodes of TBBT, I would choose the former. 4 repeated episodes on Nine/Go last night and they are not rating that badly. As much as I want to blame Nine, it is not their fault that people want to watch the same episodes over and over again. Nine is really fortunate to have this US comedy to save their bacon. Hence I have always had a soft spot for the other networks.
