Later this month the Country Music Channel will broadcast the CMC Music Awards, hosted by Morgan Evans on March 12th at Queensland Performing Arts Centre.

Performing on the night are Lady Antebellum, Adam Brand, Maddie & Tae, Kacey Musgraves, Lee Brice and Troy Cassar-Daley.

Since bursting onto the scene in 2007, Lady Antebellum have become one of contemporary music’s most successful and acclaimed groups, racking up awards (including seven Grammys) and hit records over the course of five studio albums. Making their first trip to Australia as special guests of Keith Urban in 2011, Lady Antebellum were immediately embraced by local audiences. The title track from their double-platinum selling ‘Need You Now’ album shot up the charts and their subsequent headlining theatre tour saw them playing multiple sold out shows around Australia. Their brand new album ‘747’ has similarly been a chart topper and has been heralded by critics and fans alike.

Maddie & Tae have emerged as the breakout duo of 2014. After meeting at a showcase in North Texas at the age of 15, the girls have now gone on to generate a huge amount of buzz for their first hit, ‘Girl In A Country Song’. Taking their cues from ground-breaking female country stars of the past, including Shania Twain, the Dixie Chicks and Jo Dee Messina, they’ve got their eyes not only on changing the way women are seen in country music, but pushing for the return of outspoken female artists to the top of the country charts.

For the past eighteen years, Adam Brand has been one of the country’s most popular and consistently successful recording artists, making him one of the brightest lights of the Australian music landscape. A regular fan-favourite at the CMC Music Awards, Brand has previously won five CMC Oz Artist of the Year Awards.

Brand also has three Platinum and five Gold albums to his name, along with two Gold DVD certifications and a massive twelve Golden Guitars, including double-ups for Male Artist of the Year and APRA Song of the Year. Not to mention multiple Mo Awards and four ARIA nominations for Best Country Album. In 2014, Brand added yet another landmark album to his catalogue with his tenth studio offering, “My Side of the Street”.

Foxtel and CMC (Country Music Channel) are proud to partner with Tourism and Events Queensland to bring the CMC Music Awards to Queensland for the next three years. Tourism and Events Queensland has also secured the largest international Country Music festival in the Southern Hemisphere, CMC Rocks.

Lady Antebellum, Adam Brand, Maddie & Tae, Kacey Musgraves, Troy Cassar-Daley and Lee Brice will excite audiences again, performing at CMC Rocks QLD 2015. Now in its eighth year; CMC Rocks has established itself as the biggest International Country and Roots Festival outside of North America and one of the premiere events on the Australian music calendar.

CMC Rocks QLD 2015 is held at Willowbank Raceway, on the Cunningham Highway near Ipswich, on Friday March 13 – Sunday March 15.
