Delta Goodrem collapsed following chest pains at a recording of The Voice in Sydney last week according to an article in Women’s Day.

The moment during the Blind Auditions happened as she was due to give feedback to one of this year’s contestants.

“Give me a second,” she said, before ripping her mic from her ear and ‘briskly striding off stage.’

A senior producer told audience members, “Ah, this is a first for me and everyone else.

“Delta’s not feeling very well,” revealing she had complained of “pressure” on her chest.

“People are taking very good care of Delta backstage,” he added before suggesting Ricky, Jessie J and the Madden brothers took a break.

The article notes more than 10 minutes passed before she returned with fellow coaches.

A spokesperson for Nine later blamed the heat in the studio and the punishing schedule, saying Delta was able to return and complete her duties.

Goodrem, 30, who battled and overcame Hodgkins Lymphona, also appears on TEN’s Neighbours special next week.

  1. I was in the audience last Saturday and it is really hot in the studio. They did say they had put the air con on full blast but they even had to give us paper so we cld make fans.
I can see why delta collapsed.
They really need to do something about it.
