Q&A no longer live on ABC News 24

Q & A will no longer be live on ABC News 24, due to Lateline on News 24.

From next week Q & A will no longer be live on ABC News 24, due to Lateline now airing at 9:30pm on News 24.

ABC will now offer a live screening via iview.

That’s probably going to disappoint some viewers outside the AEDT (and AEST) timezones who enjoyed participating in the Live Twitter debates as part of the show.

It will also impact on numbers, with around 100,000 viewers who were watching on News 24 rather than the ABC primary channel.

Next week to commemorate 40 years of International Women’s Day, the ABC’s political writer and host of Kitchen Cabinet Annabel Crabb will host the show.

Joining her will be:

Foreign Minister, Julie Bishop
Feminist icon, Germaine Greer
Author and self-described “Bad” feminist, Roxane Gay
CEO Best & Less, Holly Kramer
Engineer and youth advocate, Yassmin Abdel-Magied

This special edition is being made in collaboration with the Sydney Opera House’s All About Women festival.

9:35pm Monday on ABC and iview.

  1. Of course what’s silly here, is that while watching it on iView, you can’t do other second-screen interactions which Q&A is all about. Really silly decision.

  2. I usually watch the next day on iView….before I read your article DK…my 1st thoughts were …the only people who are going to be peeved are the twits…errr twitter folk…
