RuPaul’s Drag Race is back for a seventh season on LifeStyle YOU and for the first time ever it will air in Australia just days after it goes to air in the US.

In this highly entertaining series, America’s most outrageous, cutting-edge, talented and stunningly gorgeous drag queens will fight it out for the title (and tiara) to prove their charisma, uniqueness, nerve and talent.

Each week, through the trials and tribulations of glam, glitter and show-stopping performances, one Queen is eliminated until just one remains – they are crowned America’s Next Drag Superstar, and take home a cash prize of $100,000.

But it’s not just about the wigs and the heels, it’s about performers with passion who prove to be some of the most fascinating characters on television.

Joining RuPaul and Michelle Visage as new fulltime panelists on this seventh instalment are Carson Kressley and Ross Mathews. And as always, this season dazzles with a new star-studded panel of celebrity judges including Ariana Grande, Jessica Alba, John Waters, Kathy Griffin, Olivia Newton-John, Alyssa Milano, Mel B, Rebecca Romijn and Michael Urie.

Wednesday March 18 at 9.30pm on LifeStyle YOU.

  1. While this is undeniably a step in the right direction, this being the fastest airing season yet, it’s still not fast-tracked enough for the fans of the show. The RPDR fan community watch it within hours of it airing in America, because there are spoilers everywhere online almost immediately. Hopefully Season 8 they’ll air it within a couple hours– would be great and would draw huge numbers.

  2. While it’s a lot quicker turnaround than previous seasons, it’s still two weeks after the US. With reality shows like this that eliminate someone every week and contain spoilers, you’d think they’d fast-track it the following day at least if this move is to stop people downloading the show illegally.
