18 Comments:

  1. Watched MKR on 7.
Recorded I’m a Celeb off 10 and NCIS, then watched both after MKR finished. 🙂
    Recorded Vera on 72.
My wife has given up on how to get away with murder on 7. I gave it away after the 1st episode.

  2. TBBT continues to rate well on repeat (on both Nine & GO!) because the viewer knows exactly what they’ll get. Check out TBBT ratings on GO! on any Thursday night – especially through 2012-2014 – and you’ll see that it often rates 300K plus. Why? It’s a reliable default option as nothing else airing interests people and all they want to do is just watch some TV.

  3. Don’t think I like being called ‘simple minded’ because I like a show that you don’t trev for heavens sake! Its great to have something to laugh at for a change instead of all the sorrow in the world!

  4. I too wonder why TBBT repeats rate so well, surely people would be sick of so many repeats night after night after night, at least I suppose it is keeping nine afloat, don’t know what will happen if people suddenly stop watching.

    • Secret Squirrel mentions a bone being gnawed, well I think this one is pretty much gnawed down to nothing as well. MM – I think you have made your opinions on TBBT and The Block pretty clear by now. I’m surprised David hasn’t called you on it yet.

  5. italianguy1987

David, i know it’s probably way too early to say now but in your honest opinion, based on ratings and demos, do you think IACGMOOH will come back for a second 2??

If you had the power to renew the show, would you bring it back?

  6. I’ve never been able to comprehend the fascination with these cooking shows, but last night simply out of there being absolutely nothing at all of interest showing, I tuned into MKR after discovering seafood was on the menu.
The moral was keep it simple and thats what the two young ladies did and ended up with a record high score. Even the other contestants agreed it was top stuff, except for one whinging b…h who obviously had her own agenda.
Instead of the usual suspects rubbishing this show, they should be taking to task those simple minded folk who insist on watching that useless and boring garbage filmed in Africa along with the chaos that is The Block.

  7. bettestreep2008

No contest really. MKR doubles and even triples the second highest rated show for the night.

Real interest is the close contest between IACGMOOH and The Block. Looks like IACGMOOH is slightly edging ahead -but is it too little too late?

And as for the other interesting ratings news – there were 5 TBBT episodes last night and all of them rated well.

I don’t watch it – but isn’t that overkill even for the most ardent fan? Surely many fans have the DVD at home?

      • I can hear a big band from viewers finally giving 9 the flick. Treat their viewers like mindless idiots with zero brain power/ability.

Love comedy but not constant repeats and then rotating those same shows around their other digital channels. Pathetic and I refuse to watch it for 1 second because they are thrashing it to death the same as 2.5 men 🙁

  8. Nine only have themselves to blame for the rating’s decline of the Block. Too many series, filmed too much in Melbourne, too much padding.

    • Very true. 2 series last year and now this one at the start of the ratings year – overkill anyone. Kill is the dangerous part for arrogant Nine Network 🙁
