  1. Didn’t even know the cricket was on GEM. Would have watched if I had known. Hope Thursdays game (Aus V India) is on GEM. Would be awesome in HD.

  2. Those big ratings for the ‘will he or won’t he win the $1m’ episodes of seven’s Million Dollar Minute are also – again demonstrating the power of the lead-in (inheritance) audience on the 6pm nightly news bulletins. Second night in a row that Seven News Melbourne has out-rated the Nine News in the city (albeit by a whisker over the two half hour segments). Before this week I believe this hadn’t happened for a long time, besides perhaps AFL Grand Final day and one or two other rare exceptions.

    • if it is true that a good lead in affects News ratings and I think it is then I think we will see a few more of these million dollar shows on both 9 & 7. My suggestion to the smart people out there is to apply to go on these shoes.

  3. I watched the cricket on Gem and it definitely went over into Poirot time. Excellent game by the way. One of the best sport endings I’ve ever witnessed especially if you were a kiwi.

  4. real good figures for the Cricket esp when it did not involve an australian team playing and esp when you combine them with ratings on foxtel who even had bigger ratings than GEM

  5. bettestreep2008

I believe those massive figures for Poirot were actually for the ICC. The cricket was delayed because of rain I think. Poirot started much much later.
