Bad news for Emily VanCamp with US network ABC confirming Revenge will end in May after four seasons.
“We can officially tell our fans that this will be the end of the story,” executive producer Sunil Nayar told EW.
“We’ve been talking to the network and we all just wanted to make sure that we felt very confident. Now that everybody has seen the finale —which is fabulous— everybody understands that as much as we all adore the show, it has hit exactly the mark it needed to to end. This is the series finale of Revenge that will be airing in a couple weeks.”
In Australia the show has been a primetime ratings hit for Seven, arguably better positioned with viewers than it has enjoyed in the US.
But with the playout some three months behind the US, Aussie fans may have to avoid online spoilers when the show concludes in the US on May 10th.
“There are epic emotional moments in the finale,” Nayar says. “There are really shocking things that happen in the finale. It’s a tricky thing because the fans are such passionate lovers of the show and we really want to give them what they want, but the hard part about a finale in a show like this is you want to give them some of what they want, some of what they don’t know they want yet and some of what they never expected, and it needs to be a perfect mix of all those things. I truly believe our finale is the perfect mix of all those three things. I think they’re going to be extremely satisfied.”

Yeah, too late for me too, already seen a few spoilers.
Sad to see it end too, but they’ve probably done all they could with it. Just hope they give it a fitting ending. I’d like to see Emily & Jack end up together & go off together with her dad & Nolan. They probably should have ended it last season & not brought her dad back. She’d got her revenge & cleared her father’s name.
Axed: Revenge – ??? Not axed surely? Unless they resurrect a few dead people…. It’s been done before.
Not as strong this season so the end is not unexpected.
One of my all time favs! It was so obvious that it was going to end this season after the events of the last few eps shown in the US. It feels natural for it to end now. Maybe Emily can now join a certain Marvel show after her great role in Captain America 2.
Well I will miss this show. Madeline Stowe plays the part as Victoria so well, and I to will miss the great bond and friendship Nolan and Emily have.
I hope that the ending does the show justice and it ends on a happy note.
I wonder what 7 will put on next year then.
I hope the ending is full of MDK with a massacre. I have read what will happen in all but the final 2 eps………happy days!!!!…………….or maybe not……..who knows
I fully expected this based on where the storyline is now, and who’s still around. It’s had some good moments, but also some absolutely ridiculous and slow stories too.
Have always been a big fan of Revenge and will be sorry to see it end, but think it is better to finish on a high than to run it into the ground.
Sorry to hear that it has been “cancelled” but it could not last forever … they had a good run and I will miss Emily, Nolan, Jack and Victoria!
I’m still a huge fan of Revenge, but I think it is right to end it.
Seven have done wonders from a marketing and promotions point of view with this show, perhaps they could teach ABC (US) a thing or two!
News of an ABC promo for the end of the show leaked last week. It was expected, after the poor S3 and Kelly being forced out it was only renewed for S4 to wind it up and take it into syndication. A further 30% drop in ratings certainly weren’t going to change that.
Marvel probably put VanCamp into Captain America: Winter Soldier figuring she would be free after this season.
Should have ended two seasons ago.
agreed……I stopped watching at the end of last season and even then it was getting ridiculous
I love Revenge and i am going to really miss it. I feel this season has been pretty strong so far. Going to be sad to see it go. I thought it might have been given one more season but it wasn’t to be. Going to miss Em’s and Nolan’s friendship most. Think they are one of the best duo’s on tv. Will enjoy the rest while it lasts.
It was used to be a successful show on 7 back in 2012 but the ratings have gone in decline. So sad to see this show go.
It is still rating better then most of the dramas 7 have been showing recently in 9pm timeslots.
Have enjoyed this show so disappointing to here. The storylines did start becoming a little repetitive, but a fun show to watch each week. It was obvious it was concluding after the most recent episode in the US!
Least this one has no spoilers in it unlike TV Week’s announcement!!
I love the dynamic between Emily and Victoria and Emily and Nolan but it was so true the show had run its course.
Hopefully this means more of Emily VanCamp in the MCU!
OMG I know! I saw it on Facebook so I clicked on the first article I saw. It must’ve been an American site (which I didn’t realise) because it revealed all these major spoilers for the season ahead without saying spoiler alert (I know, it’s not a spoiler if it’s already aired – hence why it must’ve been an American site). I was so mad!
