The 13 part series is created by Joseph Mallozzi and Paul Mullie, based on their graphic comics of the same name, and follows the crew of a derelict spaceship who are awakened from stasis with no memories of who they are or how they got on board. “We are pleased to be making Dark Matter a global Syfy experience, expressed to air shortly after the US debut this summer,” said Steve Patscheck, Executive Vice President, Programming, Universal Networks International. “Wherever possible we aim to bring our viewers new content at the same time as it premieres in the US, ensuring that Syfy viewers around the world can share a global experience.”
Dark Matter is produced by Prodigy Pictures with executive producers as Jay Firestone, Joseph Mallozzi, Paul Mullie and Vanessa Piazza. It is distributed internationally by Endemol Shine International.

So they can do this, but not finish SGU? Yes, I’m still not happy with how that ended.
I did read about this a little while ago and thought the idea sounded interesting. I just hope it get’s a decent budget and they can put out a quality program each week.
