It’s only April but the Nine is already pumped for its Grand Final edition of the AFL Footy Show, with US supergroup KISS set to headline in October.
The rock superstars previously appeared on the show in 2008 and the NRL Footy Show in 2013.
They will return for the show at Rod Laver Arena on October 1st, performing two songs in their first Australian performance on their 40th Anniversary World Tour.
“I’ve loved Australia since the very first time I visited,” Paul Stanley said. “It is one of the greatest secrets on earth and probably better to keep it that way. The food, wine and women are all extraordinary and everyone has always welcomed me and made me feel like it is home.”

Maybe you should of typed the article a bit slower so people could understand it! LOL
Once again the AFL prefers to hire foreigners instead of Aussie singers.
Sorry Iggy Azalea, SIA, 5 Seconds of Summer – being successful all around the world and getting Grammy nominations isn’t enough to satisfy the AFL Grand Final committee.
People need to read the article. This is about a television show not a sports event.
I remember seeing Paul & Gene on the footy show a couple of years ago, they were pretty cool.
Damn! I was hoping they’d get the Piltdown Men
Was Meat Loaf unavailable?
flogging a dead horse with a very tired worn out old cart behind it , a prefect description of this pairing
Call me crazy but I reckon Footy Show crowd would actually be pretty rapt to have KISS.
Oh gawd .. another ancient overseas rock group for the GF. Haven’t we got any ancients groups of our own? What is it about the AFL that they continually use imports at a huge Australian event. There are complaints galore every year, but they continue to do it, year after year after year after year ……………………………….
This is for the Footy Show not for the AFL.
Jennome is right though re the presence of annual complaints re overseas acts being brought in. I can’t actually recall the last “wasn’t that just great!” from the media re this type of act. This said, I tend to agree with David that the Footy Show crowd will probably love them. I guess I could research what the media said about them re 2008/13…do you happen to know David?
