Irish pop-rock outfit The Script have been added to the Logies performers list, replacing Sam Smith who had to cancel due to illness.

The band, who have had top 10 hits with Superheroes, Hall of Fame, Breakeven and Before the Worst, will appear off the back of their sell-out Aussie tour.

”We’re ecstatic that The Script are going to perform at the TV Week Logies,” says TV Week editor Emma Nolan. “Viewers can expect a high energy and memorable performance from this Irish trio. It will be a moment not to be missed.”

They join Ricky Martin and Meghan Trainor for the 57th TV Week awards screening 7:30pm Sunday on Nine.

  2. Just to throw a curved ball, I’d rather have the U.S. policeman who was filmed miming to Swift’s Shake It Off. Something sort of crazy funny and funky-sassy. I consider the Script pretty underwhelming albeit they have been an opening act for U2.

  5. based on the heading I hoped for a moment that there was actually a new script for the logies – one not riddled with lame inside jokes and cringe worthy dialogue; but it instead its just the Script playing !
