Real Housewives puts out casting feelers

Arena show keen to hear from potential new women, but hasn't decided if they well be full or part time cast.

The Real Housewives of Melbourne is quietly feeling out potential new cast members ahead of its third season -but don’t write off anybody just yet.

News Corp quotes from a casting email:

“We’re not sure whether we’ll replace any of our current Housewives at this stage or add to the cast for that matter, but I’m really keen to meet with some new ladies, just in case.”

Amongst the qualities it is looking for, potential candidates must be:

Glamorous
Funny & Fun
Eccentric
Outgoing
Strong
Opinionated
Stylish
Interesting (them & their lives)

Gina Liano recently indicated she was fed up with the constant catfights.

“I don’t know if I would do that again,” she suggested.

“I want to have leave having my integrity rather then being battered further.”

But it may well turn out to be a negotiating tactic. The show has been phenomenal for her ‘brand’ including other media opportunities.

Sounding out for possible new cast is also not unusual ahead of production, while it renegotiates with current cast.

The email also suggests: “FYI, it’s an incredible platform for anyone who may have a charity and/or product they’d like to promote or establish.’

  1. Other qualities to consider are…an unusual name…..a colourful or dubious past with skeletons…..considerable surgical enhancements, plastic face preferred……huge wealth, but with bogan bling……

    1. I laughed. But I was also thinking that some of the husbands could well be in the show. I believe she was only a guest (Christa Billies) but her hubby Charles looks colourful. He’s an artist I think.
