This week on The Checkout, faded receipts, parking fines and eating breakfast on the go.

Julian Morrow looks at the fine print on private parking fines and what your rights are when one of the bastards gets you.

Ben Jenkins drinks the kool-aid that comes with sports drinks and asks if they’re really worth it.

Kirsten Drysdale and Zoë Norton Lodge find some contradictions in Good Health Magazine on the topic of low-fat yoghurt. It’s a source of confusion!

Is breakfast on the go really the go?

Faded Receipts. What’s the story? Almost 1 million* people have asked us about that so we figured it was time to address it.

On F.U. Tube this week, Zoë Norton Lodge answers FUs about Tamar Valley Yoghurt, a dating agency for the over 40s and Woolworths baked treats that are “frozen and thawed for your convenience”. Senator Jacqui Lambie helps out. It’s not a scam, she’s really in it.

Opening titles! In their traditional place at the top of the show.

Credits. Unsurprisingly, they will be at the end of the show.

* While not quite 1 million there has been a substantial number.

Thursday 16th April, 8pm on ABC.
