New South Wales’ Will and Steve have secured a place in the My Kitchen Rules grand final.

They defeated Victorians Ash and Camilla by just four points last night in the first semi-final.

Hosts Pete Evans and Manu Feildel left it up to the guest judges Colin Fassnidge, Karen Martini, Guy Grossi and Liz Egan, to decide the winner for a final score of 48 to 44.

“I’m honoured to be going into the grand-final,” said Will. “We are going to do everything we can to win it.”

“It is upsetting but at the end of the day I can’t believe we came this far,” said Ash. “Our experience has been divine. It really is crazy.”

On Sunday night, semi-final two will pit Queenslanders Jac and Shaz against WA’s Eva and Debra, ahead of Monday’s grand final.

  1. I like all four teams in the semi-finals, so I will be happy for whoever makes it to the grand final, and whoever wins. At this stage I suspect Will and Steve to win.

On a side note, David you do a brilliant job keeping your readers informed on all things TV, and I’m sure thousands of readers are very appreciative of this site 🙂

  2. Will that ruined it for me thanks, not enough time in the day to watch MKR so I record it and watch it when time frees up, I’m 2 behind so the last two days this site has ruined it, maybe hide it behind a spoiler like most sites do, sorry but that’s my rant, maybe do last night on MKR or something

    1. This argument has been raised in the past. But this is a TV news blog, so once something airs on Australian TV it becomes News. A Spoiler = something that has not yet aired, such as Grey’s Anatomy storyline.

      1. well tell me what other aussie tv news site is? for me this site is not a blog.

well its just a suggestion, makes sense to me just have last night on mkr not show the result on front page, im not that upset its ruined not like its a great show or a drama

    2. Why would you come on to a TV blog when you’re a couple of episodes behind? It’s Finals Week and it’s the countries highest rating show. How could you possibly expect to avoid news by deliberately visiting sites like this? It’s up to you to avoid. We all have to sometimes when we’ve missed something. That’s the world now.

Speaking of Grey’s Anatomy though, man I feel sorry for anyone wanting to avoid that spoiler. I don’t watch the show and don’t go seeking out any particular news on it etc, and I see that spoiler around online at least a couple times a day.

      1. well because i think this site would be like every other tv news site and hide spoilers unless i click in it, this isnt facebook or some newspaper and it not the finale so not big enough news.

          1. Well a well know thing is no spoilers for up to a year of airing on the front page that is, like all great sites,
it’s like saying a major character from GOT dies on the front page, there would be up roar on that,

It’s ur site do what u want, I jst think it s not very professional

          2. As an example: When Patrick died on Offspring it was all over the internet, as a story and as a fan reaction. So for a TV news blog it is actually more relevant to file. Thanks for the input, but I am comfortable with current model as a clear for readers, rather than chopping and changing.

    3. There’s no “spoiler” here. To avoid what happened on MKR this week avoid the internet, radio, TV and newspapers – and don’t travel on public transport!
Pleased to see it’s real judging by real judges, and not a popularity contest with judging by other contestants and stupid public voting, where shows like X-Factor become popularity contests, not talent contests.

    4. Oh get over it Wawasjohn. It’s not up to David/TV Tonight to report according to your viewing schedule. If you don’t want spoilers, don’t come to the site until you’ve watched the episodes.

      1. mate i came here to this site to see tv news for other tv news and stuff, why would i think the mkr result would be front page? and all im saying is this site should do what IGN does. just say last night on MKR then when i click in have who went home or something,
