These extraordinary photos are part of a new series on some of the world’s best photographic storytellers, Tales by Light.
The 6 part National Geographic series follows 5 photographers capturing rarely-accessed corners of the globe.
Deconstructing the art of photography, it features Darren Jew, Krystle Wright, Richard I’Anson, Art Wolfe, Abraham Joffe and Richard Eastway. They explore the landscape and life in Papua New Guinea, Ethiopia, Antarctica, India, Utah, Uganda, Alaska, South Georgia and Tonga.
Avid photographers will learn how they choose their subject and go to extraordinary lengths to capture that all-important show.
“It has been a privilege for me as a filmmaker to be able to document these amazing photographers as they travel the world for their craft,” says series producer, Abraham Joffe.
“My dream as a boy was to travel the world with a camera or two in my hands. This project has been a fulfilment of that dream.”
Begins 8:30pm Sunday on Nat Geo.
