Canadian supernatural series Lost Girl returns with its third season this week.

There are 13 episodes this season and it begins with a double episode.

This season aired in the US in 2013 with Season 5 ending in January this year.

Episode One: Caged Fae (9.30pm)
After letting herself be arrested for bank robbery, Bo goes undercover behind bars at Hecuba, a Fae women’s prison from which the doctor who mentored Lauren has mysteriously disappeared. Meanwhile, as the warden and her head guard Thraso plan to use Bo in a Fae breeding scheme, a soon-to-be-released inmate named Sylvie schools her cellmate Bo on the ins and outs of Hecuba. But when Thraso singles Sylvie out for harassment, Bo’s efforts to intervene are rewarded with a brutal beating.

Episode Two: Subterrfaenean (10.30pm)
As Bo battles the night terrors brought on by her feelings for Lauren, Kenzi’s friend Aussie disappears during a walking tour performance about famous urban legends in the sewer tunnel.

Because Aussie protected Kenzi when they were both living in the tunnels, Bo offers to help find him. Meanwhile, as Trick enlists a Dream Weaver to decipher Bo’s nightmares, a police investigation into a rogue Fae suspected in a series of underground attacks and disappearances teams Dyson with a new Dark Fae partner, Tamsin. And when evidence points to Bo as their culprit, Dyson can’t hide his contempt for Tamsin.

Friday, 29 May at 9.30pm on SBS 2.
