It could be double wins for Carrie Bickmore in the 57th TV Week Logie Awards, according to TV Tonight‘s Tip the Logies survey.

Readers have voted The Project star to take out both Gold and Silver tonight.

This is the fourth year she has been nominated for Gold after winning Most Popular New Female Talent in 2010.

Bickmore, who is currently on maternity leave from The Project, is pitted against four other personalities, all of whom have been nominated before: Hamish Blake, Andy Lee, Asher Keddie, Stephen Peacocke and 2014 Gold winner Scott Cam.

Readers have overwhelmingly chosen Bickmore ahead of her contenders and also given her the nod for Most Popular Presenter.

The results are good news for three commercial networks, with wins shared amongst Seven, Nine and TEN.

Stephen Peacocke was a clear win for Most Popular Actor according to readers, which would repeat his 2013 success if it came to be realised.

Similarly, Asher Keddie remains the runaway favourite as Most Popular Actress for Offspring / Party Tricks, an award she has won since 2011.

Seven’s My Kitchen Rules dominated the Most Popular Reality category, according to readers.

In all six categories (Gold, Presenter, Actor, Actress, Reality) the Favourite was more than twice their nearest competitor.

In other categories the results were tighter:

Offspring managed to finish in front in the Most Popular Drama category.

Nine’s Hamish & Andy’s Gap Year South America is the favourite for the Most Popular Entertainment award while the NRL Footy Show edged ahead as Most Popular Sports.

Perennial Better Homes and Gardens is the tip for Most Popular Lifestyle and Samantha Jade from INXS: Never Tear Us Apart looks set for a nod as Most Popular New Talent.

A Tiebreaker question for Most Outstanding Drama Series gives it to Foxtel’s Wentworth -also more than double the competition.

There were over 300 votes in this year’s Tip the Logies contest.

A winner of a DVD / Games package will be announced soon.

UPDATE: Readers correctly tipped 7 of 11 categories, including the Gold Logie.

  1. Although I like Carrie and Asher – the award is meant to go to the most popular TV personality.

That means the it should go to anyone associated with high rating shows right?

Home and Away rates over 1m 4 nights a week
The Hamish and Andy horror shows rate over 1 m when they are shown.

But The Block has been rating over 1m all year – with the finale rating over 2m last week and making millionaires out of all the contestants.

Scott Cam should win – and if he doesn’t – it’ll make the TV ratings system a huge joke.

BTW – I can say this now because voting for the Logies no longer require purchasing the magazine anymore.

Anyone who watches television and has access to a computer, smart phone or eligible device can vote for the popular logies.

    1. “That means the it should go to anyone associated with high rating shows right?”

No – it’s “most popular personality”, not “personality from a popular show”.

    2. If it “should” go to “anyone associated with a high rating show”, then why bother voting at all? Why not just give it to a star from the highest rating show and be done with it? It’s all about whose fans can be bothered filling in a voting form (and it always has been).

    3. I agree with you. So, Carrie’s fans do not watch The Project (which is reflected in the ratings) and yet they vote for her to win the Logies. And I am happy that Living Room won but again, did they get votes from people who do not watch the show (again as reflected in the ratings)?

  2. I think either Asher of Carrie will take it out… both superb in their television careers and both extremely popular. I must commend Network Ten for allowing women to grow from strength to strength in their field… Both the women nominated are from Network Ten!

  3. I hope she does win. Probably the most deserving out of the 5 but I would not be surprised if the baby have her a bump in the voting.
