Today show on Oz roadtrip

Next week the Today show will hit the road again for its second ‘We Love Australia’ tour of the country.

Karl Stefanovic, Lisa Wilkinson and Richard Wilkins will broadcast from the Northern Territory, South Australia, Queensland and NSW, while Stevie Jacobs will be in Western Australia, Tasmania, Canberra and Victoria.

On Friday May 29 they reunite with Sylvia Jeffreys and Tim Gilbert at Dreamworld on the Gold Coast.

The week will feature stories of everyday local heroes as well as performances by Catherine Britt, Christine Anu, Paulini and Daniel Johns.

Lisa Wilkinson said: “We just love Australia, and the truth is, why would you want to holiday anywhere else? This time we’ve really upped the ante by heading for some of Australia’s most iconic destinations – Port Douglas, Byron Bay, the Barossa (and yes, I will be keeping a close eye on Karl), and somewhere I’ve been aching to visit for years, Kakadu.”

“Honestly, we shouldn’t be getting paid to do this job. Oh, hang on, the boss has just said we’re not. That’s OK, we’re going anyway!”

Karl Stefanovic added: “The first pub crawl around Australia was so successful we’ve decided to do it again. And I still haven’t found Dickie love so, here’s hoping.”
